Manchester United are reportedly set to lose their second-choice goalkeeper, Dean Henderson at the end of this football season.
Manchester evening news confirmed the news on its official website on Thursday, May 19th, 2022. According to the report, Newcastle United are set to open talks with Henderson as the Magpies look to rebuild their team going into the new season.
Henderson was on the radar of Newcastle United during the January transfer window following the recent takeover by the Saudi Arabia consortium. He was expected to be injected into the first team of Manchester United but was not able to get playtime after testing positive for Covid-19.
The chances of Henderson playing ahead of David De Gea seem slim following the form of the Spaniard. However, the English goalkeeper played just three games for Manchester United without getting any minute in the Premier League.
